New! quartet! album!

Emma’s string quartet, Red Carousel, have just released their first full length album We’re Getting There. All collaborative composed by the four players, it’s available for happy listening on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music, and pretty much all the other places..

The Québecois edition of We Should Not Be Afraid of the Sky, N’ayons Pas Peur Du Ciel has been launched. Translated by the super Dominic Fortier, it’s received some lovely press and praise such as these reviews in Le Devoir and La Presse.

Carol Shields Longlist!

We Should Not Be Afraid of the Sky has made the longlist for the first ever Carol Shields Prize! The Carol Shields Prize for Fiction is a major new English-language literary award to celebrate creativity and excellence in fiction by women and non-binary writers in the United States and Canada.

 

SPANISH WRITING RETREAT

This year Emma and fellow author Samantha Harvey will be running their idyllic writing course in the Alpajarras mountains of Southern Spain, September 8th-15th, 2023. More info and inquiries here.
